The world needs to come together, now more than ever. I am writing this during the COVID-19 pandemic and people are frantically contacting us and anyone else they can think of to get critical PPE products for their communities around the world.
It should not be this difficult to find a trusted supplier, make a purchase, and ensure it is a quality product that will be delivered to your door. Yet in the year 2020 buying from a factory directly is not as transparent and easy as it should be.
Factories didn’t want to deal with “small buyers” ordering less than millions of dollars of masks. Friends, governments, medical groups are all overlapping with one another and it is true chaos.
Then a lightbulb went off.
After years of having Loadpipe concept on my to-do list, we stepped up during this pandemic and launched it.
A way to pool all the resources of the community together. To take all of these “small buyers” factories ignored, and organized everyone around a focused “group buy” to work as a team to reach the minimum order quantities factories were asking for.
Strength in numbers. Always effective, but especially during a pandemic where size matters to get the attention and supplies you need.
But it is more than the pooling of resources. It is also after the purchase from the factory is made- we heard horror stories of people in the news and in the community who were getting scammed and receiving faulty products.
By purchasing as 1 group, we can have the best in our community to assist us. From quality control service providers to logistics companies with insurance and protection in place, we could protect those in this group buy from start to finish.
As a blogger, podcaster, vlogger, and event organizer - community is my passion. And by centralizing all our resources we have built over the years to a community of buyers, suppliers, and service providers - this is the best way we could think of to truly create something long lasting and helpful to the community.
